These are some shots from my walk home. The Canadian institution Roots (the clothing store of course) and the backstreets around our place feature.
Some more shots from around Yorkville. The area is filled with classy restaurants, bars, and on this occasion, people enjoying their drinks in the brilliant Toronto springtime sun.
These are some snaps of some cool street art in Yorkville. I’m not sure if they are public works or if they belong to some art store on the street, but either way they add something to the trendy, yuppie, Yorkville area.
These are some shots taken on Bloor Street West, including the Royal Ontario Museum.
These are some shots taken in the Philospher’s Walk on the University of Toronto Campus. It runs from just near Queen’s Park up through the campus to Bloor Street West. It’s a great quiet spot where students are wandering between classes and others are relaxing on park benches. It’s hard to believe you are in the middle of a city of more than four million people when you are in here, listening to the birds and looking at the natural colours all around.
These are some more shots from around Queen’s Park.
Good ol’ King Edward VII. I am not exactly sure of his importance to Toronto, or Canada for that matter, but I guess it is in Queen’s Park. Made for some good shots though with the bright blue sky as a backdrop.
These are some shots from a walk around Toronto in the first real, beautifully warm spring day. Queen’s Park has changed colour significantly in the last month. Only in April these trees were missing leaves and only some shades of green were coming through. Now there are beautiful deep evergreen colours and stunning reds.
These are the last few shots around the new part of Montreal. Unfortunately I only took this one shot of graffiti on my camera. In this particular part of town it was everywhere, and most of it really good. It just means I will need to go back (preferably in the summer when it’s not cold and wet).
